Ohio State vs. Purdue - NCAA football Game Saturday

Purdue has rolled to a 5-0 record behind the 11th-ranked offense in the nation, but they will have their biggest test yet when they host also unbeaten Ohio State at Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday.

The Buckeyes, ranked No. 4 in the nation, are coming off of a 30-7 win at Minnesota in which Ohio State allowed only 45 yards on the ground and forced two turnovers. Todd Boeckman was 18-for-29 for 209 yards and two touchdowns for the Buckeyes, who also got 116 rushing yards and two majors from Chris Wells as they racked up 459 yards of offense. The Boilermakers defeated Notre Dame 33-19 at home last week, and Curtis Painter tailed off a bit from his previous performances by going 22-for-37 for 252 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. However, Kory Sheets picked up the slack by rushing for 141 yards and a score for the Boilermakers, as Sheets posted his third consecutive 100-yard game on the ground. The Buckeyes are listed as 7-point betting favorites on the road this week, due in part to their dominance over the Boilermakers in past seasons. Ohio State is 35-12-2 against Purdue all-time, but Purdue won the last meeting between these two by a score of 24-17 at home in 2004.

This game will come down to whether the Ohio State defense can keep the Purdue offense under wraps, especially Painter. The Buckeyes also need to establish a running game and keep the Purdue offense on the sidelines. The total is listed at 52 points.

Kickoff is slated for 8:00 pm ET with ABC handling the coverage.
