NCAA football betting: Texas A&M vs Texas Tech Saturday Game

Jones SBC Stadium could be the site of a shootout on Saturday when Texas Tech (5-1) and their top-ranked offense host state rival Texas A&M (5-1).

Texas A&M had to fight their way to a 24-23 win at home over Oklahoma State last weekend as Javorskie Lane did it all, completing a 49-yard pass, running for 77 yards and two touchdowns, and catching a ten-yard pass from Stephen McGee that would prove to be the game-winning points.

McGee was 11-of-20 for 169 yards and a touchdown, but more importantly threw no interceptions. However the Aggies gave up 459 yards of offense to the Cowboys, which does not bode well for this weekend?s contest. The Red Raiders actually scored their lowest point total of the season so far in last week?s 42-17 win over Iowa State. Graham Harrell was 36-for-43 for 425 yards, four touchdowns and a pick for the Red Raiders, but Texas Tech is prone to turnovers in their high-octane offense, committing three last weekend against the Cyclones.

Texas Tech is listed as 8.5-point home favorites this weekend against their rivals, and they won last year?s meeting 31-27 at Texas A&M. The Aggies are going to have to work hard on their defense in practice this week because the Red Raiders are as explosive as any college team in recent memory.

The Aggies will have to be patient because the Red Raiders are prone to mistakes, and they have to avoid any penalties on defense that will give Texas Tech more chances to move the ball.
