NCAA Football Betting - Iowa State at Kansas

The Kansas Jayhawks may be a perfect 10-0 on the season, but they still need to win their remaining two games to guarantee themselves a spot in the Big 12 title game and get consideration for the national championship game. The Jayhawks appear to have an easy victory at hand this weekend versus last-place Iowa State, but that's been said many times already this season only to be proven false on the field.

The Jayhawks' offense soared again last week in a 43-28 win over Oklahoma State as a 6-point favorite. Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing completed 27-of-40 passes for 308 yards with three touchdowns, all going to wideout Marcus Henry. Aside from the three touchdown grabs, Henry finished the game with eight receptions for 199 yards. Running back Brandon McArthur also had a strong game with 142 rushing yards on 25 carries and a pair of touchdowns. The Cyclones staged an amazing second-half comeback last week to edge Colorado 31-28 as a 4-point underdog. Iowa State trailed Colorado 21-0 at halftime, but outscored the Buffaloes 31-7 in the second half to secure the win. QB Bret Meyer completed 9-of-19 passes for 149 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the win. Todd Blythe was the go-to receiver for Iowa State with four receptions for 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Running back Alexander Robinson rumbled for 127 yards on 29 carries with two touchdowns.

Last season Kansas blasted Iowa State 41-10 as a 1.5-point road underdog. McArthur rushed for a pair of touchdowns for Kansas in the blowout, while Reesing saw limited action as the backup QB but did throw a touchdown pass. Meyer got the start at quarterback for Iowa State and was limited to 180 passing yards with no touchdowns and an interception.

In Saturday's game Kansas is a heavy 26.5-point favorite.
