NFL Sunday: Bet on the Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans Football Game

The Colts proved they're still a real championship contender in their season opener last week after they routed the New Orleans Saints

Peyton Manning threw for 288 yards with three touchdown passes in the win, while Joseph Addai took the starting running back job and ran with it to the tune of 118 yards and a touchdown. Reggie Wayne caught seven passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns, while Marvin Harrison continues to be Mr. Reliable with four catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. The Indianapolis defense somehow found a way to keep the Saints out of the end zone. The only touchdown scored by New Orleans in the game came from the defense on a fumble recovery. Indianapolis held the Saints to 293 yards of offense and picked off Drew Brees twice. Just as a comparison the Saints averaged 391.5 yards of offense per game last season.

The Titans were a surprise winner in Week 1 after knocking off Jacksonville 13-10 as a 7-point underdog. The Titans' rushing attack carried them to victory in the win after racking up 282 yards on the ground. Running back Chris Brown led the way with 175 yards on 19 carries, while QB Vince Young rushed for 22 yards and a touchdown. While the Titans' running game was flourishing, the Titans' defense was stuffing the Jaguars. Tennessee held the usually-formidable tandem of Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor to a combined 72 yards in the win and kept both of them out of the end zone.

Last season the Colts and Titans faced off twice, with each team picking up a win at home. Indianapolis edged Tennessee 14-13 as an 18-point home favorite, while the Titans got past the Colts 20-17 as a 7.5-point underdog. The Titans ran all over the Colts in both games with a combined 433 rushing yards in both games. If the Colts' defense plays as well this week as they did versus the Saints that should not happen this season. The Colts come in as a 7.5-point favorite in Sunday's game.

41-10 as a 5.5-point favorite. Big things were expected from the Colts' offense in that game, but their defense wasn't supposed to hold the explosive Saints at bay.
