Donovan McNabb Will Try to Redeem Himself Tonight - Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles Game Preview

Week 2 of the NFL season ends on Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia as the 0-1 Eagles host the 1-2 Redskins in an NFC East title.

Both teams were involved in 16-13 games in the opening week, with Washington prevailing in overtime at home against Miami and the Eagles dropping a tight one at Green Bay.

Eagles QB Donovan McNabb struggled some against the Packers in his return from last season's knee injury. McNabb completed 15 of 33 for 184 yards and one touchdown in his first regular-season action since Nov. 19 of last year.

"I know that he had an opportunity to play more plays and see a little bit more pressure, and receive a little bit more pressure than he had in the preseason to have to try to make the throws," Eagles coach Andy Reid said. "I think it was good for him to be in there and get that work. If there was any rust that he's able to knock it off now and move on."

McNabb has had success in the past against Washington, winning seven of his past eight starts overall and passing for 1,285 yards, 11 touchdowns and just three interceptions in his last five meetings against the Redskins. Philly, a 7-point favorite tonight on WagerWeb.com (over/under: 38.5) has won nine of 11 overall against Washington. Expect McNabb to again rely on versatile running back Brian Westbrook to shoulder much of the offensive load, both rushing and receiving.

Joe Gibbs' Redskins have become a run-oriented team as they adjust to inexperienced quarterback Jason Campbell. Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts combined for 141 yards rushing against Miami as Washington ran the ball 41 teams.

However, the 'Skins will be without a key cog in their offensive line as right tackle Jon Jansen was lost for the season because of an ankle injury.

"It's certainly a big loss for us," Gibbs said.

Todd Wade will start in Jansen's place. Wade is an 8-year NFL veteran who joined the Redskins prior to the 2006 season. He played in one game last year, replacing Jansen in New Orleans, and he helped the Redskins compile 161 rushing yards.

Both defenses like to blitz, so expect another low-scoring output for both offenses but for the Eagles to prevail at home.
