Bet on NCAA Football: Navy at Rutgers

The Scarlet Knights showed their offense doesn't just rely on running back Ray Rice in their season opener last week, as QB Mike Teel also excelled in the Knights' 38-3 win over Buffalo as a 32-point favorite.

Rice lived up to his billing as a Heisman Trophy contender after rushing for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Teel appears to have found a solid go-to receiver in Tiquan Underwood. In the win, Teel passed for 328 yards with two touchdowns and 10 of his passes found the hands of Underwood for 248 yards and two touchdowns. The Rutgers' defense had a relatively easy time against Buffalo after only allowing the Bulls to register 235 total yards of offense, including only 70 yards on the ground.

The Midshipmen opened their season with a 30-19 win over Temple as a 20.5-point favorite. As usual the Midshipman ran the ball a ton in the win and racked up 361 yards on the ground, compared to only 78 passing yards. Running back Shun White led Navy with 122 rushing yards on eight carries, while QB Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada rushed for 102 yards on 15 carries. Fullback Adam Ballard showed he's fully recovered from a broken leg he suffered in the Midshipmen's regular-season finale last season after rushing for a pair of touchdowns.

The Scarlet Knights faced the Midshipmen last season and blanked Navy 34-0 as a 3-point road underdog. Teel was extremely sharp in the win, while passing for 215 yards with three touchdowns. Rice rushed for 98 yards as Navy was the only team last season to keep him from finding the end zone. Rutgers has owned this matchup lately, having defeated the Midshipmen in five of their last six meetings. In Saturday's showdown the Scarlet Knights are a big 16-point favorite. The Scarlet Knights haven't dropped a game at home versus Navy since 1999.
