Tuesday NBA: Pacers (15-26) at Spurs (27-13)

Both Indiana and San Antonio come off buzzer-beating endings on Monday.

Indiana was on the unfortunate side, losing to New Orleans on Chris Paul’s 3-pointer at the buzzer. was fortunate, winning at Charlotte when the Bobcats’ Boris Diaw missed a 3-pointer for the Bobcats at the horn.

The Pacers definitely have been playing better since Mike Dunleavy returned – he is averaging 16.7 points in seven game since returning from injury – but still are not a good road team at just 6-17. Plus the have won six in a row vs. Indiana at home – thus San Antonio is a 7.5-point favorite on WagerWeb.com.

Dunleavy is limited to about 28 minutes a game while he gets back into game shape and to be cautious with the knee. Point guard Jarrett Jack said the offense has been “a lot smoother” because other players are following Dunleavy’s lead in moving without the ball. The Pacers are averaging almost 114 points since Dunleavy’s return.

“His vision, which was something I wasn’t really aware of, is great,” Jack said. “He’s done a great job of finding guys like Jeff (Foster) and Troy (Murphy) when they’re open. He puts the ball where it needs to be.”

Pacers forward got his 14th 30-point game of the season on Monday and has topped 20 points in 15 straight games. Since Dec. 17, Granger has averaged 30.6 ppg — the most of any player in the East during that span. The Pacers are the highest-scoring team in the East but just 5-9 in games decided by three points or fewer.

San Antonio’s Tony Parker had his seventh double-double of season: 13 points, 10 rebounds vs. Charlotte on Monday.

The have won four of their last six home games despite allowing 101.5 ppg in that stretch. San Antonio had allowed 100 points only twice in its first 16 games at the AT&T Center.
